May I ask what render settings you are using (quality, oversample, etc) ? The quality is amazing, something I can never achieve. I take it these renders take atleast a hundred hours?

Thank you!

I use a Density of 8,000, Filter Radius of 0.4 and an Oversample of 2.

I run a Phenom II x4 925 with 8GB of ram, and it takes about 8 hours to render. The same thing would have taken about 3 days on my old P4 with 4GB of ram :)

The quality itself in this style mostly comes from the positioning of the second transform. The right size and location causes the outer black lines that define the shape, and the preblur helps keep it confined while giving the smooth look.

Thanks for the advice! I'll bear that in mind next time, however running just a Athlon II 2.2Ghz with 3GB RAM, things take a little longer on my end!!

Good luck with your future fractals :)

Hmm, I see. I take it you applied a lot of transformations to this piece? I'm just making this assumption simply because I am a complete newbie when it comes to Apophysis.

Actually, this one is beautifully simple, only two transforms :)

Great form and textures... Semi-liquid appearance gives the impression of movement at a moment's notice... :)

Very nice "still motion"... has a fluidity about it, like it will move at any moment!

Wonderfully Well Done!! :woohoo:
